In the early 1900's the life of an Indian aristocrat represented the height of refined living. Whether they were enjoying a chukka of polo or leisurely sipping afternoon teas on the verandah at the Gymkhana Club, the Sahibs, Memsahibs, Indian Royalty and Zamindars infused every event with a sense of Occasion. It was a time of grace, hopsitality and splendor — the like of which will never be seen again.
Here at the Taj we have faithfully recreated this unique epoch in history. In an atmosphere reminiscent of an aristocratic Indian home of the period, you can savor dishes seldom, if ever, seen before in Palau. Following recipes handed down by former grand chefs the Khansamas and using only authentic ingredients, we are delighted to offer you an array of exotic dishes fit to grace the tables of any royal household.
It is our tribute to a way of life that has long since passed, but will never be forgotten.
